Welcome to our New Teacher Institute, 2021! We’re looking forward to celebrating and supporting your journey this year. Below you’ll find opportunities to attend 90 minute PD sessions, small group discussions, and drop-in support sessions.
A word on compensation: Teachers who have signed their contracts by 8/4/21 will be compensated at the hourly extended contract rate for any NTI July Institute PD or small group discussion attendance. Teachers who sign their contract after 8/4/21, and attend NTI July Institute PD’s or small group discussions, will receive Professional Growth Units (PGU’s) for attendance which can be applied towards movement on the salary scale.
Special Education Teachers learn how to use the SpEd teacher google drive & other online resources (SEIS document library, website) available to them. Discuss best practices for collaborating with your special education support staff, related service providers, other teachers, and site admin. Consider how to organize your caseload and calendar of IEP meetings and responsibilities for the year.
